Want to Swap Your Books?

bookswapThe join us for The Firestation Book Swap! Audience members are required to bring along a book that they are willing to permanently swap for another. There’s tea and cake for participants as well!

You won’t sit through pedantry, the same old Q&A, or authors reading word-for-word from their latest book. You will, however, get to engage in a thoroughly unpretentious discussion intelligible to literature lovers and casual readers alike. The conversation often takes an unpredictable turn, subject to the whims of the hosts, so you’re sure to be entertained as well as educated!

Marie has buggered off to New York so the very lovely Sarah Franklin will be sitting in her chair, alongside regular host and publisher, Scott Pack.

This month’s guests are two authors published by Tinder Press, Peggy Riley and Morgan McCarthy.

Peggy’s debut novel, Amity & Sorrow was called ‘genuinely moving’ by the New York Times and the Observer said that her ‘dark tale of the runaway daughters of a messianic cult leader is creepily convincing’. So there.

Morgan is the author of two novels, The Other Half of Me and her new one, The Outline of Love which The Sun called ‘a cracking read’.

It promises to be a fab evening and we can’t wait to see lots of you there!

The Firestation Book Swap has appeared in literary festivals and received much interest from radio and TV.
