“Tender, humorous…intensely thought-provoking and impossible to forget” ***** – Three Weeks
Sparkle and Dark present a new play, Killing Roger.
“Could you kill someone Billy? I mean really, could you?
What if they asked you to?”
Gaining five star runs at the Edinburgh Fringe last year for its stunning aesthetic, life-size puppetry and original live music, Killing Roger is currently on tour nation wide. Roger and Billy are at the opposite ends of their lives, yet strike an unexpected sort of friendship. Exploring the ever-controversial issue of quality of life, Sparkle and Dark have been supported by The Wellcome Trust to create this new piece of theatre.
Sparkle and Dark are committed to story telling, and this current production is no exception. Roger weaves a rich tapestry from his life throughout the production, exposing teenage Billy to the reality of aging. Can the boy become a man and make a decision that will change both of their lives forever?
