Friday 27th May 8pm Basement Studio

Dutch Uncles are fast becoming known for their unmistakable brand of progressive alt- pop, blending complex compositions and off-kilter time signatures with floating melodies having supported tours of Bombay Bicycle Club, Dananananaykroyd, The Furtureheads and Maximo Park. Pulling unlikely influences from Steve Reich, XTC and King Crimson the band have an unconventional approach to songwriting.

As part of the indie label Memphis Industries (home of Field Music and The Go Team) the Dutch Uncles are ready for a full on UK assault with their new album all finished and due for release in the Spring. The New Year has seen them tipped as ’2011 Ones to Watch’ by many including The Times, The Fly, Q and Huw Stephens.

All tickets £5
