This is a great show, from a superb actress. Yes, Louise Jameson has moved on from the days of being Doctor Who’s scantily-clad assistant, Leela.

Since then she’s been in Tenko, Bergerac, Eastenders, Emmerdale – and now in the play Pulling Faces, she plays 12 different characters.

A question? Should Joanne Taylor go under the knife to enhance her looks …..OR date her toy boy, ‘au naturel’?

You will be guided through a week in presenter Joanne’s life as she does battle with her nipped and tucked nemesis, her evil agent and her anti-surgery daughter Rachel.

Pulling Faces is an acerbic, topical comedy about society’s obsession with youth,
beauty and transformation.

Bridget Jones thirty years on!

Pulling Faces – 8pm, Saturday Jan 22 2024.

Tickets: £10 £9 concs £8 members

The Illusionist is our first Sunday film of the year!

It’s Alison Steadman’s favourite film of last year (alongside Tamara Drewe, playing later on in the season). The Illusionist is a wonderful, sensitive, exquistely-rendered film from the people who brought you Belleville Rendezvous. It’s an animation, like Belleville – and equally appealing to adults and children. The Illusionist comes from an original script written by [...]
